I am in love with this name. I've only heard it once or twice in my entire life, it's not common nor is it overused! This is one of my favorite baby names.

we named our daughter Aidan and find it to be very fitting for a girl.

I named my son Aidan in 1995. It was a strong, old Irish name that appealed to us because we are both Irish. It didn't make much mention in baby name books back then so it was unique. I agree that it has become too popular. I still have no regretts because he is the only Aidan I know his age. I don't think it is "irrating or harsh". Certainly not "common or overused" as mentioned above by Jayne. I guess not all parents are as creative as yours...

I think this name is so cute! I agree its not that popular nor ordinary. I think names like Justin or Ryan are very common...not Aiden. Im thinking about using it but Im not sure on a middle name to go with it.
