My son's name is Killian as well - He'll just turned 12. He was named just before the beer came out and of course people try to put 2 and 2 together - It is odd sometimes yelling across a store or in public "Hey Kill" .. haha - but I love it none the less!

We just named our son Killian (4/18/07) and everyone thinks we named him after beer, which of course is not the case. My grandmother is completely disgusted, which breaks my heart because I think it is the cutest name ever, my husband and I absolutely love it. Hopefully, other people will learn to love it and they won't give him a hard time with it when he grows up...As of right now, I feel sort of bad because my family and other people are giving us a hard time.

Our 1 yer old son is also named Killian, we love the name. I first heard of the name from Cillian Murphy, the Irish actor. His older brother has nicknamed him, Kiki.

I had never heard of Killian being a first name. My last name is Kilian, so to me its odd knowing that it can be a first name. But I love it nonetheless =]

My son who was born Oct. 2007 name is Kilian and we absolutely love it. It is different yet not totally outrageous. We knew of both the actor and the beer and that didn't stop us at all. It is a strong name and we hope he is proud of it when he gets older.

I can already tell that he will spend a lot of time correcting people's pronunciation (Sillian being the most common mistake). But he has the option of going by C.J. We still love the name because it's unique as well as traditional Irish.

i just had my first son december 14, 07, and we named him Killian Dean. the instant i heard this i knew it was going to be our sons name. it's his daddy's middle name, which is where we originally got it, but i love love LOOOOVE it! there arent many others, which is nice as well!
