Lacey can also work very well as a girl name. Its very unique and is hard to rhyme with mean things so your kid wont get teased much.

I thought this was a girl's name! Personally, I wouldn't name a boy this. It may be hard to rhyme with, but if you name a boy this, he's going to get teased SOOO bad for having a "giiiiiirl's name".

Personally I think that Lacey is a girls name. I've never met a guy named Lacey and they would probably get teased for having a girls name. Even if nothing rhymes with it.

I actually have a father-in-law named Lacey. His first name was Charles and his middle name was Lacey. He legally changed it to Lacey. He loves his name. He is not a girly guy either. He is a manly type man. I'm used to it now, but when I mention my father-in-law Lacey, people are at first confused and think that I meant to say my mother-in-law, Lacey. LOL

My name is Lacey Mae, i completely agree that lacey is a girl's name. I have also had the same problem and the other lacey that posted a comment. Several people have called me lazy instead of lacey, or they have called me Lassie. So yes, this is an easy name to make fun of; I don't think any child escapes ridicule from their peers. Over my lifetime, I have met probably about ten other laceys. This name is somewhat common. And as far as male laceys, I have heard of only one. My friend Thom has a dad who is named Lacey. Not very common for men.My mother told me she gave me this name because when i was born, i was delicate like lace, hence the reason i am now a lacey :)
