Lylah/Leila, Layla and Leah have similar origins-growing up, it was not "in" to have an unusual name, I am over 40! Now, people always comment on my pretty name-I have been told there is a form of this name in almost every language, how great is that??

I pronounce it "Lay-luh", but a lot of people mispronounce it as "Lee-luh", so if you're naming your child "Lay-luh" you might want to go with the spelling Layla, not Leila. In my case, my parents wanted to spell it Leila because that's how Leila Khaled (who I was named after) spelled it.
