I named my first child, Ariana. We pronounce our preciosia's name R-e-ah-na.She'll be 16 next month. She has lived up to her name.I intially saw it in the baby name book that I've picked all 3 of my children's name from.It means "Holy".However,I saw it in another name book & it also mean "A Song".This is what clinched the name for me b/c singing is in my soul. And, God made it in Ariana's as well. She's my precious songbird.I love her with all of my heart

A very special name for a very special girl!!!

I chose this name for my daughter all on my own without even searching for a name. I am so glad I decided to look it up. Her grandfather said it was a spanish name but according to what I am reading it is not. I love the fact that Ariana means HOLY! I chose Christine for her middle name because her dad's middle name is Christopher. The best name ever Ariana Christine!!!

Arianna
written by LMengarelli, March 20, 2008
I loved the name Arianna from the first time I heard it. My husband and I were looking for an Italian name to 'flow' with our last name. Arianna came up in the list and since it meant "Holy" or "Very Holy" sealed the deal. In the beginning, so many thought it was an odd name, but now everyone tells me how beautiful her name is. I love it and I hope my daughter carries it on somehow with her children.

Our Favorite
written by Mommy to Ari, March 21, 2008
With a complicated pregnancy and a difficult time getting pregnant in the first place we thought that Arianna was SO fitting of a name for our BEAUTIFUL baby girl! It's also kind of nice because it's easy to shorten to Ari... The only gripe I have is that people constantly call her Air E On A as opposed to Are E ON A like it's spelled... I wouldn't ever change my mind on this name... It means so much to us to have our Arianna.
Cute name

I know a girl named Aurionna and I think it's such a pretty name. It sounds very nice and I like the way her name's spelled. At school she goes by Auri or Rionna. Her mom calls her Arg since those are her initials. Her full name is Aurionna Raynnah Gray.

we named our baby girl Arianna, it was the only girl name both my "italian" husband and I could agree on and we have received so many compliments on her name, she is a beautiful, unique, precious girl who will live up to the quality of this name. a stand out name in a world of commonness.
Arianna in the Family
written by Jessica, May 02, 2008
My aunt who lives in Italy is named Arianna. She is in her 70's and it is not a name that was used a lot for that generation. So I thought it was cool that she got a beautiful name when her contemporaried had these old sounding names and not the nice old names either. It is a good thing too since the last part of her last name means cow (slang for cow) and even when she got married she got to keep her maiden name. In Italy you get to keep your maiden name. Anyway, she got the pretty name of Arianna.
