My parents named me Giulia after my zia (aunty) and from family birthplace Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. The Italian alphabet doesnt contain the letter J, hence Giulia is the Italian version of Julia pronounced the same. Its a beautiful name and I'm proud of it.

my name is giulia rosa and i have heard every kind of prounciation: goo-LEE-ah, jill-LEE-ah, ju-lah, and so much more. i try to be polite about correcting people, but honestly, it's not that different from "julia", just take out the "j" and put "gi" in its place. my mother is italian and my father is german so since my last name is german, my parents wanted me to have both ethnicies in my name. i love it because it's unique and totally reflects my personality and makes me stand out. i'm very proud of it:)
