I have a baby boy. He is 7 weeks old. We named him Kaya. I am of turkish origin and in turkish it means rock (strong & solid). The name is very much a boys name in Turkey. I do like the name because it has so many meanings in various cultures around the world.

i also like this name from the album cover and that it can be for either sex..,i'm not sure what we're having so this was a good choice now i 'm looking for a 2nd name to go with it?! any suggestions

my son is 21 months old. His full name is kaiaitz. it's basque, from the spanish side. we call him kaia for short. it means harbor and his full name means rock in the harbor. hopefully he will like it when he gets older.

My daughter's name is Kaiya, which we found in a movie from the 80's called Willow. Everyone in the family hated it at first but, now she is 6yrs old and I can't think of anyother name that would be suitable for her. As for the middle name we went with Raine.

My daughter's Indian name is Nizhoni (niz- joni) which means beautiful in Navajo which her paternal grandfather named her when she was 3 months old. Many sources say the name Kaya is Hopi meaning sister or elder sister and they are INCORRECT!!! Please do your research if you want a name that means what you think it means. Kaya (pronounced kai-a) is actually Nez Perce and it does not mean sister.

I LOVE MY NAME! and I take pride in it, which not many people can say. when i meet some new people and they ask my name, yes i have to say it many times, SO WHAT! it starts a conversation doesnt it? and some people even say they like it!

My neice (born oct 3rd 07) was names kaya which is not a very common name actually ive never heard it before until my sisters husband pointed it out to me. we are 100 percent polish and i guess there is some famous polish actress/singer with the name spelled kayah....but h is usually of jewish decent so we hacked it and it just suits her apparently it means " Adds a place of resting" but she isn't giving anyone any rest!!

my name is kaia and its from norweigan origin. its means pure of heart. growing up i wish my name was different because no one could ever say it right the first time so i always had to say time and time again till they would get it right. but now that i'm older, i've learned to love it because its so different and it gives me a better reason to want to stand out and be different!!
