Um, Midori has nothing to do with "martini".
It's Japanese, and in Japanese it means "green".
I don't see what's wrong with it.

Actually, Midori is a very popular girl's name and its sweet. Like naming a daughter Summer or April. Midori's very closely related to Spring (the season)

Ko used in a name typically means "child" in Japanese, so it would probably be something like "green child." And you know, I don't get how you could get Midori confused with martinis, either. I do like the name Midori, I think it's really pretty, though how martinis were brought up with it I have no clue.

this is such a cute name. its a shame some people would want to try ruin it with alcohol. it has nothing to do with it. greens my fave colour.

i think midori is a beautiful name but i agree that when i hear it, the first thing that comes to my head is an alcoholic beverage!! i'm not sure if where you guys are from has midori, but here in australia, it is a very popular green melon tasting spirit!!
