I was so delighted that this is the name I got for my youngest daughter.. I never thought that this is an arabic name, but I still love it just the same. It doesn't matter what origin it came from. "NIGHT" would be the perfect meaning for Leyla, because it is the entire solemn period between sunset and sunrise, sensual, appealing, unique, valuable and finest name of all. The meaning I searched for this name was Classic and Sacred Path: any ancient path in Britain that led from hilltop to hilltop and touched on water sources and places of worship... Excellent!
