My daughter was baptized Bethany, but all I ever call her is Tallulah. Tallulah just seems to fit.

I am considering this name if I have a girl, however, I am concerned about the teasing at school. I love the name, though! I already call my pregnant belly Tallulah!

I just read the comment about teasing..and I didn't even think about that! What could they these her about with that name?? I'm asking cause this is the name I've chosen for my little girl. Tallulah is so beautiful and different, I love it.

I'm also calling my baby-belly Tallulah.. It just sounds like a song and a bright fun girl!

I named (my now 14 month old) baby girl Tallulah Rose. We call her Lulu for short. We had other names on the list - Scarlett was one that I can remember - but as soon as I found out I was having a girl - Tallulah was her name. She's a beautiful, happy, sweet little girl and her name suits her perfectly.

I am having a girl and thinking about Tallulah. Rose is the only middle name I can think of that I like and sounds right, but I guess it's common. Someone already named their girl Tallulah Rose!

So happy to see someone nickname their Tallulah "Lula" - my greatgrandmother's name. My first pick for my baby girl due in June is Tallulah Belle. I'll be watching for other potential middle names to borrow:)

My daughter is 7 years old and her name is Tallulah Alex. We call her Lu and Lulah. She does not get teased at school and we get compliments on her name ALL THE TIME! Although we know famous people with the name and have no doubt that there are other people out there with this name, she has not yet met another Tallulah...

Our 4 1/2 year old daughter is named Tallulah Rose. Rose is probably the most popular middle name for girls. When we named our daughter, the only other Tallulah Roses I could find were a champion bloodhound and a baby in London, England. And now, I get lots of hits on the name Tallulah Rose... (several real estate agents, Island Record's owner, and on, and on...). I am hoping it does not become too popular!

My husband is French, and our daughter has been attending bilingual French/English schools, so the French nicknames she has gotten are Tallulu (Tallooloo) and Tallulette. She has never been teased about her name; on the contrary, when people hear her name, their reaction usually is to gasp, "oh, what a beautiful name".

Before we named her, I got a lot of grief from colleagues at work who said it was too weird, and she would be teased, we wouldn't find anything with her name on it, etc., but none of these concerns have come to pass. There are 2 songs about Tallulahs, and our daughter loves her name passionately. She IS Tallulah: bold, beautiful, stubborn, and quite saucy. She taught all the boys at school to slide down the bannister, picked bright fuschia for her room, and insists on wearing a dress at least every other day. Last week, she got three proposals of marriage from three different boys at school (accepted them all). She loves speeding her bike through fountains on scorching hot days, schussing down the slopes in the winter, and charming shopkeepers for candy. She is Tallulah.

i love this name & its origin, i think its beautiful. i just think it sounds to me like a little girls name, i'd be worried about when she's grown up. But i guess you can shorten it to Lula.
