This is my birth given name

I personally love this spelling of Caitlin; my mother back in 1971 decided this was a name she was going to use for her daughter. I am not too happy with the other ways of spelling Caitlin...use this version (its traditional- Irish/Scottish/Celtic/Greek!!!!

I don't like to consider 'Cailin' a variant of 'Caitlin' because I dislike the second name. Cailin is also a varient of Collene. Such a pretty name too, if I do say so myself, and it is uncommon but gaining popularity. When I was little many teachers would call me 'Caitlin' or spell it 'Kaylon' or something, which I eventually got used to. I don't know if it would be the same if there had been, say, 3 Cailin's in my school. I might have grown up as 'Cailin M.'
