wow i hated mi name until now and now i love it

I think my name is super cool. I did go through a brief period where I wanted to be called Mindy...probably because I was a big fan of the TV show 'Mork & Mindy'! Amanda is a name that travels really well; I've lived in 7 countries and no-one has had trouble spelling or pronouncing my name :)

My name is a name I learned to like when I got older. At least it's a name that anyone will not regret naming their child, because the child will be happy with the name a majority of their life.

My name is so cool now. I love it. I always knew I was supposed to be loved.

my fiance and i are going to have our frist baby in may it's a girl and he likes the name amanda but i think i like to be creative with something like kimanda.

I have always hated the name amanda ever since i was little i have always gone by Mandi Amanda never fit me

I was called Amanda when I was younger until one day I was in 1st grade and was called up on stage in front of the entire school by a magician and he asked me my name and I said "amanda" and he yelled out "a man duh" and I cried and ran off stage. I've never been fond of the name. And it was so irritating when people called me "Mandy Pandy". that's my thoughts on the name!

Amanda is amazing! Even though, it is quite common it is so joyous and lovable. I wouldn't change my name, it's just too great!

amanda is so common... and mandy is pretty common as well. i've chosen to go by mandy my entire life... my mom only calls me amanda when im in trouble... lol

to the girl who got picked on by that idiotic magician in front of the whole school - im so sorry that happened to you,and at such a young age.i hope now your happy and u like who u r.because i can see why it would hurt u so much.people can be so cruel and ill never be able to understand it.

i get called "a man duh" all the time, its quite annoying, when i was little i hated it, but it grew on me. i get manda panda a lot too. i don't really have a nickname, my dad sometimes calls me amand and some of my friends used to called me manda but thats pretty much it, mandy never fit me at all..
