My one-year-old is named lola and it couldn't be more perfect. She is very cute, sweet, and incredibly cheeky and cunning!! We do get comments about the song by the kinks, but as she's not a tranny it doesn't bother us. Just wish people pronounced it properly (not Low-la like Charlie and Lola)

Ilove the name and if I have a daughter her name will be Lola Veronica Rose and its totally not a stripper name. My idea of a stripper name is Diamond, Lexis, or Destiny. lol. I think it's beautiful and underused so hopefully I'll get a chance to use it.

We are naming our Daughter Lola Audrey. My husband is in love with this name and at first suggested Lola Marie. It seems like a lot of people had the idea! I am glad I won. Hehe.

But I guess it would only work on certain people. I think it wold seem weird on a totally white girl or something. It would have to be a dark haired baby... Maybe I just watch too much TV...? I dunno.
Have to have the Character to Match

I have a 2 year old called Lola she has no middle name I absolutely love it and she lives up to the character and attitude the name demands (which is a risk when you name your little one!!) I think it is a little harsh to say any name reminds them of a stripper! Anyone can do or be anything

I'm 5 months pregnant with a a baby girl and she's due December 18,2009!! I named her Lola because I think it's very unique, sassy, and strong. To me it sounds like a queen's name! I'm namimg her Lola Monet' and I'm pretty sure she'll fit her name to a T if she's anything like me!! :)

I don't like it... I am a Filipino. Well, no Filipino would like that name for a baby. Lola means GRANDMOTHER in the Philippines...
