Arian is the Welsh word for "silver". It is derived from the Welsh mythological goddess Arianrhod; the goddess of the moon or literally the "silver wheel". This is considered a unisex name, but in my opinion its more suited for a girl. 'Course i say that because it is my name & i am a girl. :)
