I love my name. It is obviousely a girls name without being too girly. I have completely grown into it. I am also highly protective of the spelling because THAT is unique.

I have always had people spell my name wrong, always forgetting the first A. I have met 4 other Meagan's now and we all have had the same problem, but I wouldn't change it at all. My dad chose to put the second A i so it is special to me!

My middle name is Meagan and I love it. My mom got it from a song titled "Meagan's Gypsy Eyes" by Blood, Sweat, and Tears from the late 60's. In the song it is pronounced 'MEE-gan', not 'MEG-an' or 'MAY-gan. I like 'MEE-gan' the best. I like the way it sounds and that it is less common than the other 2 pronunciations. I always have to remind people that I pronounce it 'MEE-gan'. Anyone else pronounce this spelling as 'MEE-gan'?

The only reason that I like my name is because there are so many options for abrieviating it. I usually go by Maggie. No one has ever spelled my name right on the first try, and can't seem to remember even after I tell them. As far as pronunciation, I pronounce my name MAY-gan, my mom pronounces it MEG-an, and my soccer coach when I was a girl always pronounced it : Me-A-gan, which was awful..
