Love it!! We named my son Rhys in 1994, new from early pregnancy its what we wanted, quite a few now, mostly spelt Reece, we wanted the correct welsh way, more unusual. He at 13 loves him name and says it will be nice what ever age, and a lot of people still comment how they like the name. I think it is a smart modern sounding name that wont sound silly when he is middle aged, there are some lovely names out there that are so sweet for when they are babies but not so nice for an adult age. Also I love names that cannot be shortened.

I plan to use Rhys as a middle name for a boy. I want an Irish first name because my heritage is important to me but I love the way this name looks and sounds. I've never met anyone with this name (at least not spelled the Welsh way) so I think it's pretty unique and just an all-around great name.

My eight year old is named Rhys and he loves it too. It can't be shortened and it is a strong name that will not date or sound old fashioned. He loves the fact that if he does meet another boy with the same name that they all spell it the anglicized way and he loves to say that his is in the correct Welsh form. I love Welsh names as a whole and the fact that they are still Celtic
