| About Myself: | my only grand child - caroline caylor, middle name is my dad's mother's maiden name - and we called them mammie and pappy (we're white so go figure! my dad will be 93 next month and he's a proud great-grandpa - will be 5 years old july. i always knew i wanted to be called 'grandmother' - it's very rarely used, and i'm a very unique, eccentric but normal, young feeling (when the bones don't ache!)upbeat, optimistic, 56 yr old woman-basically the odd duck in the puddle and who is the world's number 1 ELVIS FAN ! anyway -i knew i'd start teaching her grandmother when she started sounding letters, wellll, she started saying the words doe-doeie... being a baby who knows what she was saying... but she kept saying it - looking at me! next thing i knew i'm "doe-doe". and i wouldn't trade it for anything in the world ! we are best buds, they live 8 mi away, we go to the same church, friday nights are her nights with me and it's usually mcdonalds (which she only gets 1 time a week), and walmart. i never knew a person could love and adore a child like i have for her. |
