lilyA well i thought maybe that she did something wrong in this at first but than the DNA results came back! and i really dont know how to react and neither does Jamie or Natty or anyone! It was a child that Jamie has been bestfriends with since third grade! It's probaly one of the scary things, the child has slept over my house many times! And i have a daughter who's 10. So thats just bone chilling to me. And he wasnt of the orginal two who they tested either. Natty said later that day that he usually takes those stairs too, but that day she didnt see him. So they tested him as a third party and ASAP we totally just wrote him off the list til yesterday. Natty is back home and going to private counsling and Jamie is just not talking its far past betrayl here. And we know the family very well so I'm just still not even confirming reality!
Nonny Lily,

Red Flag Alert!
Don't be 'guilt-fed' into agreeing about the ring.

His comment, while understandable, is so not true! It has nothing whatsoever to do with having or not having a ring. Married women throughout the world who are wearing rings have had the same deplorable violence happen to them.

As far as charges go, does she want this to happen to anyone else?
'An eye for and eye' does not mean letting someone get away with a crime.
'Do unto others as you would have others do unto you' means exactly that. Perhaps, this individual has victimized others, if someone had pressed charges, this would never have happened to her. She can make a difference.

Not to say there is, but do you feel there is more to this than you are aware of?

Nonny
lilyA to kiisha: thanks for your feedback^^^
but thank you i have a life and you have to take the good with the bad!

okay back on the subject natty says she doesnt want to press charges! because "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" which is true but i cant believe she wouldnt! should i still press charges?

oh and one other thing Jamie said something along the lines of its kind of my fault because if she had an engagment ring on her finger no one would've messed with her! so hes back to begging
. .
Deelovesdisco Hi, LilyA. I've been following this post pretty intently and I've only now decided to put in my two cents. I think it's great what you're doing for Natty, and I think it's great what you're son is doing for natty. I'm so so sorry you had to deal with this and that natty was put in this situation. While I don't know what it's like first hand my older sister was raped and it absolutely devestated the family, myself included. While I'm sure it is different for everyone, I know what you're family is going through. Keep us updated and I'm praying that monster is put in jail for what he did her.

lilyA yes,
that is what i'm semi worried about. But Jamie has self control and was raised pasafist so I don't think he'll act out of anger or first instinct. If the child who did that to Natty is not expelled and/or put in a program for children like that. i will put Natty and Jamie in a differnt public school and if that doesnt work a a private one.
