Why not Grace, or Gracie? Or something like Rai (R sound from Tracey with -ai sound from Gail?) You dont need to make it SOUND like both names combined, as long as you use some letters from both, im sure they'll appreciate the thought.

Ok just because you want to name your daughter after your mum and muminlaw doesn't mean you have to use their names.... Their names are their names...
I wanted to name my daughters after my mum who passed away and my hubby's Oma who also passed away but I didn't like their names...
My mum: Tracey Vyrelle
Oma: Maria Hendrika
My mum is of Albanian Gypsy Heritage so I used Gypsy for her and Oma's favourite flower in the whole world is the rose So my first daughters name is Gypsy-Rose...
I am due to have my second daughter in 16 weeks and we have named her in a way after my mum in law and my hubby's pop....
My mum in law: Fay Dennise
Pop: Wilhelm
We are namimg her Willow after pop and McKenzii is a name my mum in law had picked out when she was a young girl and was never able to use for her own children so we are using it in honour of her...
Willow McKenzii

There are more than one way to name a child after family members and you don't have to use the family members name to do so...
Just a thought

AngelRoseMiistiique is right!! It is quite nice to have something that isn't actually their name but something about them, if you do not like the name.
My daughter's first name is Blake; and anagram of Kaleb (her uncle), of course I really love the name Blake for a girl and so it all worked out..

These are the kinds of things you can do:
Gail: Hail (rhymes), Lia or Gia (using three letters out of the name)
Tracey: Macey or Cacey (rhymes), Cartey (anagram of Tracey)

If I was you I would call her Cacey Hail; both the names rhyme with each mothers name and I think it's really cute!

Cacey Hail

lol it's most likely not what you were looking for but I tried!!
