I know too many people... By amgilliam 2 Years, 7 Months Ago I am 15 wks pregnant with my 2nd child. My first was a boy. We named him after my husband's grandfather. Jon Thomas (first name) Trent (middle name--my hubbies name).
It is THE perfect name for him. He goes by Jon and even though it is an "old" name it totally fits him. And it honors my husband's grandpa. This baby is a girl--and I am thrilled beyond measure! I feel like I will have my comlete "set"! My trouble is, I like a handful of names--but I know people named this or another friend named their baby the same name. The names we like: Lily--just met a girl named Lily, and it does NOT suit her...so that name is tainted to me. haha Scarlett--just had a friend have a baby. She named her Scarlett Rose (LOVE LOVE LOVE that name!) Ella--My grandmother's middle name and SO common I cannot bear to use it--unless combined with another name or at the end of a created name. My middle name and this baby's middle name is Marie. So, baby's first name MUST go with Marie. We also had Isabella picked out--but that was for the last pregnancy--I miscarried at 11 wks, and now feel like that name is already used--even though I had no idea if I was carrying a boy or girl. So far, Scarlett is in the lead...but I'd feel like a copy-cat using it. Oh...and I did have a love affair with the name Lola for a long while--not sure if it is a suitable name though. I'd like GIRLY girly name. (No, Madison, McKenna, Kennedy, etc.) No unisex names. Any suggestions? PS: First time to the forums and I've enjoyed reading all the creative ideas and baby names--you guys are good!

Re:I know too many people... By Celianne 2 Years, 7 Months Ago Gloria
Rosalia Natali Nicole Rebecca Sienna I think that pretty much anything goes with Marie. These are just a couple of my favorites, the rest of them aren't real girly.

Re:I know too many people... By happy2bme 2 Years, 7 Months Ago I know exactly what you mean-I can think of lots of boys names I like, but can't use them cause I know too many people who already use those names!! My second favorite boys name, that I wanted to use for a second son-Noah Alexander. But one of my close friends named their son Noah when he was born last July!!! I like it so much, I'm tempted to use it anyway!!! Because I had told her before a long time ago that we'd like to use that for a second son! But we're not going to do that, we'll just pick something else.
But our girls' name if we have a girl, is Caroline, which means "little and womanly"
