Do you think it would be silly to name a girl Honey if our last name is Bear? I have been thinking about Honey May Bear.

sorry not something I would do. Not keen on that at all. please think of your little girl as she has to grow up with whatever name you give her.

It is totally your choice! But I do ask that you think of how it will be when she grows up. Teasing may occur and it may not be respected in a professional world. May I suggest that you nickname her Honey? That way you get to call her that, but she has a choice as she gets older to stick with it or use her given name. I only say this because I was supposed to be named Brandy (which was super popular at the time I was born) If my mom would have done it I would have been named after an alcoholic drink Brandy Alexander and my middle name would have been Renee, leaving my initials as BRA. My mom loved the name Brandy, but because of my last name knew I would get picked on. She then chose Cynthia as my given name but my nickname as Cyndi. She wanted me to have a proper sophisticated profissional name if I ever choose to use it. Then I got the girly cute nick name. I don't really often use Cynthia except for legal things, but it is my choice.

Just my opinion. Please take no offense. I think it is a cute name :^)

I am not offended at all Moonrae74! I understand what you are saying. I wanted the name Honey even before I MET my husband! Now I am kinda dissapointed because it won't work! Honey Smith, Honey Cole, Honey Cooper, it just happened that way. Too bad! What do you think of Isabelle Bear?

I totally love the name Isabella, I am biased since it is a family name :^) and you could use the nick name Bella which is so sweet! I had to say the no offense thing because some people are so negative and hurtful and I NEVER want to do that. Good luck with your sweet baby!
