Listen to all of the comments about how harsh or negative I was towards Jesse... I feel like no one is ever straight and truthful.And from an ADULT's perspective, I believe this is a very wrong decision. My daughter is not quite three, and hell would freeze over before I let a minor have a baby. I explained that religious opinions are yours.. But haven't we all seen enough afterschool specials where the child gets pregnant and it ruins her life, didn't we see all the movies where they are just too young and it makes life harder. That was my point! It is real , it is hard, it does ruin lives, I in no way think she should be commended. It is a harsh reality!! See beyond your feelings about abortion, and see that it is there to help not just unwanted pregnancies, but women who physically cannot have more children because it could in the long run hurt them. You have choices. Choices that you may not have had 50 years ago. Choices that help you. You are supposed to be selfish when you are 13 think about yourself not babies, bringing a child into the world without the basic background knowledge of life will be a very difficult and a foolish choice. This was my point. I in no way in the first post, ever made a religious reference. I am slightly offended that many of these posts have turned in that direction instead of towards my original question which was why bring a child in to this world at 13 years old???

You are right in your opinions, I too am pho-choice, but that to me means it is YOUR choice. I have not brought religion into it, since I believe differently and I do not want to force my beliefs on others. My whole point is not what you say, but how you say it. Yes she is young, yes she has a hard road ahead. Now what she needs is support and guidance which she will never listen to if someone is negative and cruel. I have seen those specials first hand, with some family and friends having babies early. Between that and a proper sex ed program I chose to wait for sex until I was way older. Please just remember that there are real people asking for real help and your words carry weight. While you may see it as a life ruined, she may feel differently. I believe a young woman is in a difficult situation. Why make it harder?
