Is the name Scarlett common and receivable?
Someone said that the name Scarlett can be a joke in the eye of people and that's Where the joke begins because 'Scarlet woman' means prostitute.
Is Scarlett a good name? Will people laugh at my baby girl's name?

If you want to use Scarlett as a name then that's fine. It doesn't really matter what other people think. Your child will more then likely take the name and make it her own, instead of being what it suggests. My only thing I have to say on this is, I believe it is the movie Gone with the Wind, and also the game Clue. They both have Scarlett's in them. People may think you named her after one of those.

I have friends whose daughter is named Scarlett, she gets no teasing and it is a pretty name.
