I'm starting a new story, and I need some opinions on my character names. (All my characters are fifteen)

Maggie- my main character. She's sort of flirty, sort of standoffish at times, very boycrazy. She is proud of her Irish heritage. She had a mental breakdown years ago, and she is reliant on anti-depressants. Near the end of the book, she'll have another.

Liam- the future love of Maggie's life. He's chivalrous and kind, and takes Maggie how she is. He spent the first twelve years of his life in Ireland, which is what attracts Maggie to him at first. He helps Maggie cope with her illness. he loves to draw

Sarah- soon to be a good friend of Maggie's. she is very soft spoken and loves photography. her twin sister, currently named Kara, is just the opposite of her. She's loud and brazen and is always the life of the party.

Christain- Sarah's boyfriend. a photographer and a computer nerd, but is not socially awkward.

Lena- friend of Kara's. very like her. madly in love with a boy currently named Jack. helpless romantic. makes Maggie gag. Greek.

I'm game for any advice, name wise and story wise.

Your names are good! I would swap the twins names around though. Kara seems like more of a soft spoken person while Sarah sounds more life-of-the-party like..

i think your description matches Lena perfectly. I have a friend named Lena and she's exactly the same.

Sarah and Kara both sound like quiet girl names for me... but I personally think Kara sounds better with Christian.

i like maggie but for irish names i prefer Keira, Kianna and Allanah. love the ideas for the character though!

I think Liam is absolutely perfect for the boy you described, such lovely name as well.

I agree with swapping Kara and Sarah around, I also think Kara seems more of a shy,'soft spoken' name than Sarah, which seems more of a loud name to me.

Lena is one of my favourite girls names and i love it for the character you have described.

i sort of like christian for the character described, but i don't really like the name itself.

thanks to everybody who responded. i have switched Sarah and Kara and I'm still unsure of Maggie and Christian. Any suggestions? I do like Kianna, but I knew a Kianna and I try my hardest to avoid using the names of people I've met; same with Allanah. I'll consider Keira, though.

Maggie- How about Lyra?
Liam- Like it.
Kara- Like it
Christain- Not too sure, what about Brayden?
Lena- It's greek alright.
