This really isn't something a "normal" person would tell the whole world but I'm not exactly normal so here goes... LOL

I didn't stop wetting the bed til I was ten

I had alot of emotional problems as a child and that was a major contributor to my bed wetting and I had coulcelling for other issues I had to deal with as I was in foster care growing up but once I had learnt how to deal with that side of things the bed wetting thing kinda disappeared on its own...

So.... maybe your little one might have some kinda emotional issue that is blocking their ability to stop wetting the bed like I did as a child and councelling may help it helped me

I wet the bed til i was six. Pretty sure my grandma just woke me up every few hours to take me to the toilet so I didnt have a chance to wet the bed. The less I was wetting the bed, helped.. kinda like it felt like i was growing out of it, even though it was because of my grandma waking me up. The thought of independence helped too.

Once a child knows its something they shouldn't be doing they get quite self conscious and lack of confidence can be a major contributor. It was for me.

i work in childcare and there really isn't a "normal" age to stop bed wetting it usually happens between 6 and 10 but it could happen at 5 and it could happen at 12, it really just depends whats going on in there minds and if you pressure you to stop or shame them then usually it will lead to pro longed bed wetting, all you can really do is not give them anything to drink before bed and make them go to the bathroom just before bed, other than that there isn't much for you to do. maybe offer treats for if they don't bed wet for two nights in a row or something?? this might help encourage it??

i don't know if that helped.. my kids aren't here yet, thats just what we were taught in our course but saying it and putting it into practice are two different things i guess

xx
