What do you think of the name Gabriel for a boy(gabe as a nik name)? i love th name but i hear a lot of ppl say it girly and that a nik name could be gay. i think is a nice name and i love it so what do you ppls think?

I think it's a pretty good name. It's a strong male angelic name. I love cool Biblical names. I guess someone could end up calling him gay for short to be mean, but I've usually heard the nickname Gabe. I suppose some people refer to it as girly since there's the feminine Gabrielle. If you're worried about that maybe try to find a name that hasn't been feminized.

i don't see a problem w/it. a lot of people have it as a name (males). i only think the nickname you'd give him would be the one that people would use.

Girly? Psh. Gabrielle and Gabriel are two DIFFERENT names. Gabrielle is the girl version of Gabriel, meaning that the name was so good they expanded it to both sexes. I love it, and who would nickname a child Gay? Gabe is the sweetest nickname, and it grows with the kid. I love it.

well that's what i though i think its quite a tough name. and i just love it im gonna use it for a boys name no matter what ppl think lol

That's what I'm doing with Jacob. Screw Twilight, I don't care if they think I'm stealing form it, it's my favorite name and gosh darn it I'm using it!
