So Im expecting my 3rd baby girl in January and I thought I had my name picked out. We were naming her Gwen after Gwen Stefani as I met her when I was preg and told her this, so it had meaning. But nobody likes the name, my husband is now saying its a hard name. My mother hates it and my oldest daughter says its terrible. Her name was going to be Gwen Brooklyn Rose and now Im not sure. I like Lola Gwen but my hubby isnt crazy over Lola....I like Breanne and thought of doing Gwen as a middle name, but hardly anything goes with Gwen. Any ideas? Thanks!

i love the name Gwen its your choice what u name your baby if ppl dont like it it there problem its your baby not your mothers shes had her time naming babies now its your turn . Gwen is a beautiful name. good luck

i think that gwen goes well as a middle name for names that end in a or y

I agree with Lorelai that a first name ending with a vowel sound would probably flow best with Gwen as a middle name. I agree with Steff that it's ultimately your choice (but I do hope you would make sure you and your husband are truly happy with the whole name; "your" meaning both of you). Gwen isn't my favorite name, but that doesn't really mean anything to you, I'm sure. You could also consider some form of Stefani as the name if your family takes to that better. And, who knows? You may have something else happen during the remainder of your pregnancy or the labor, delivery, etc that triggers a completely different name for you. Best wishes!
