Before I left I told my mom to let me do things on my own, all the things I have to do.. I wanna do them on my own. I need to prove to people that I can be a good mom, even at 15, yanno?

Well we came home from the hospital about an hour ago, right..

and I told my mom before we got out of the car to let me take care of her right now..


So she takes Amelia inside, takes her out of her carseat and hasn't put her down since. She's fed and changed her.. I haven't done ONE THING. I'm getting annoyed. I gave birth to her, it's my child, yanno. Haha.

I mean I understand she's trying to help, but she won't ME, Amelia's on mom.. help..

But on the plus side, Amelia is doingg good. I guesss that's all that matters!

I know it's probably hard, but if I were you I'd live it up w/your Mom participating right now. She'll eventually get tired of it, and tell you, you need to start doing it yourself. But hey, you'll get some sleep and relaxation in the mean time

Lets just hope that she isn't going to be all in to Grandma time while it is her choice, and then get in a huff if you actually ask her to help with something.

I would sit her down and tell her that, while her taking care of the baby is great, you don't want her to feel like she has to do it. Tell her you also need to see if you can do it yourself. Tell her your open to advice and guidence, but that you need to do things hands on. If she doesn't get the hint, laugh maniacally and say you could always have another so you each get your own baby. That should freak her out.
