By Kelsey613 2 Years, 1 Month Ago What do you think of the name Leia for a girl?
-Do you think it works for any age? -Is the spelling confusing? (Its pronounced LAY-uh so i think its pretty straightforward) -Any teasing potential? -What kind of personality do you picture for a little girl with this name? Thanks in advance and feel free to answer however many questions you want and give any additional input! Last Edit: 2009/12/21 17:20 By Kelsey613.

By HoneyB 2 Years, 1 Month Ago I really like Leia and yes, I think the pronunciation is straightforward clear even if you aren't familiar with Star Wars.
It's pretty cute but for me, it works just like Leah or Mia, it suits every age. I think of independent, kind of tomboy, very sweet girl.

Re:WDYT? Thumbs up or down? By Alisamber 2 Years, 1 Month Ago Leia was our top pick for a girl! Of course, we LOVE this name! Go for it! (The middle name would have been Alisamber). (We have all boys). Best wishes!

By Kelsey613 2 Years, 1 Month Ago Thanks for all your input! Just to clarify, I'm not pregnant, just thinking of names for the future, but currently Leia is at the top of my list, especially after you assured my doubts! I think both tomboy and mischevious (and of course sweet) describe what I picture my daughter to be like!
I had always liked the name but I had spelled it Leah, which I knew would lead to confusion, but I didnt really like the spelling Leia. Lately its grown on me, mostly because I love the name so much! Since the name is a little different I was thinking of something more common for the middle name: Leia Elizabeth Leia Belle (I love them together almost as one name) Leia Emory (Emory may be a little too different for me to go with Leia) Leia Giada (not really a common name at all but I really like it for a middle name!) Apart from an unknown middle name, I think this is for sure on the top of my list for girls! Thanks a bunch! Happy Holidays! Last Edit: 2009/12/21 22:12 By Kelsey613.
