naming a baby after vampires? Seems a little out there, don't you think?

i dont think it is out there some names i actully like and may use i like names that were popular in the past kinda one of my things i guess

I like Twilight, too, but think about the conversation:
"Mommy, how did I get my name?"
"Edward, you were named after a vampire in books and movies that I liked."
"Oh What was he like?"
"You'll have to read the books or see the movies."
"Oh, do we have them anywhere?"
"Yes, but they are much too innappropriate for a 7-year-old."
5 years later:
"Those books were okay. It was really creepy when Edward stared at Bella in the middle of the night. And they touched eachother's faces a lot, which made me want to throw up on the book."

No kid wants to be named after a vampire. Especially one that is too innappropriate for a 7-year-old. If you like the name, go ahead and name your kid what you want. But, don't name your kid after a vampire.

Honestly, people name their children after Wrestlers and other innapropriate for children tv shows / movies. Twilight is no worse.

okay i will explian my self one i would never use Edward i Hate that Name and Despise Bella As a Name but Some of them like Gianna are kinda cute i like the name alice and wouldnt use them just because they are in twilight and as far as i know no 7 year olds ask about there name i didnt i just lived with it i felt trgeted by this post so i just need to say this kk well thats it

I asked how I got my name when I was 7. We were talking about it in school. I also think naming your child one of these names is fine, I might, I just wouldn't name them after a character, it would be a coincidence. I have nothing against naming your children after these things, I was just giving my opinion - I didn't mean to offend anyone. If you hear a name and like it, go for it.
