We're a free spirited family but try to stray from giving our children heartily hippie names for any teasing potential. At daycare there are girl/boy twins with the names Rainbow and Sunny. I personally love both the names and wish I was so bold. Anyone else like them or do you think they're a little too out there?

Really like a lot of hippie names I think that names that maybe sound odd from the beginning will eventually grow on people and grow to fit the person carrying the name

Moon Unit Zappa is kinda (really) out there, but it really fits her

I can't say I'm a fan of rainbow or sunny but I like breezy/breeze and tallulah

I would never name my children Rainbow and Sunny, that's a little too much, but I do like hippish names, and my mom definitely does, I've always called my mom a hippie. My brother's name is River, and if she didn't name him that she said she also loved Stone( ). I really like Rayne but not really as a first name but a middle. My mom says if she had another daughter she would name her Willow Raine. I found a hippie name website and a lot of names I liked are one it, I remember Aurora and Avery was on it, and ofcourse River but so was my other brother's name, Trent.
