I like Caden What about a different spelling? Like Kayden, Cayden, Caiden.

GOOD LUCK!

Ok, here's how you do it. Tell your family that you have finally agreed on a name. You and hubby are going to name the baby ShaPokahunter. When they have their WTF moment, you say it's either that or Griffen. Suddenly Griff is gonna seem like an awesome name.

Exactly what Bexie said! We used to tease we would name our kids Garth and Darth and Barth....stuff like that where people just shake their heads! For future babies, just plan on not telling anyone your name(s) until after they're born.

Who cares what your family thinks? That's the #1 reason we're not sharing our baby's name until he's born.

You know, you say this as a joke...but that's what I seriously do with my hubby.

I don't use a name like ShaPokahunter, but I ask him what he thinks about some really unusual name and when he says no I ask him what he thinks of a semi-normal name. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't Lol!! I'm so tricky

If you don't want trendy I would stay away from names ending with "N" that has been a trend for at least the last ten years.

Of those two names I would think Griffin would be less common then Caden which would be one in a sea of Aidens/Cadens/Braydens/Jaidens/Kaedens/Raidens/Zaydens of various spellings and of both genders.
