In fact, it's Maëlys, I forgot to put the points on the e, like that : ë, so you have to pronounce it Ma-é-liss.

Names with a Mc or Mac at the beginning, for a French like me, sounds weird (although McKenzie is not bad). It makes me think more of a surname. Is it a common practice? I think I heard McKenzie for a girl but also for a boy. Is it true? How many Mcsomething does it exist?
