Why are so many people using new or semi-unique boys names for girls!!??

There are hundreds of thousands of girls names out there, yet people choose boy names and turn them feminine so that sound sissy on a boy. Some of my favourite names have been ruined.

Pretty soon the only masculine sounding names left will be old fashioned names that no-one likes anymore and how long is it going to be until we have girls named Robert or William.

Logan, Blake, Hunter, Evan, Ashton, Jamie, Taylor, Rory, Riley, Jordan... THESE ARE BOYS NAMES!!

á propos: Madison and Addison are boys names too. But no one complains... there is always the progress in everything, so is in baby-naming. Many names we use now would be never used e.g. hundred years before. It's pretty normal that "new trends" appear. It's inevitable. Only time will say whether they are just temporary trends or whether they will take their roots. There is only advice I can give you: If you don't like it, don't use it.

Sorry, My daughter's name is Morgann which is a boys name typically spelled Morgan. I also like Parker, Peyton, Kendall, Rougen, Addison, Ryann, and Taylor for girls. I actually prefer girls to have strong names like these as opposed to Emily, Kylie, and Hailey. Not that there is anything wrong with those names, they are just not my preference.

You have a point, but typically girls names are used on boys also... Stacy, Kelly, Jan... I find that much more disturbing!

Ooh, good point. I knew a guy name Cary and my husband knows a guy named Dana. Very disturbing.
