I totally agree w/you... Cooter is NOT a good name to give a baby. But, I also have a suggestion for you.
My brother-in-law wanted to name their son Boone!!! (maybe he and your husband should get together, they would probably get along famously)... anyway, my sister-in-law had a great idea... she let him buy the bird-dog he had always wanted and let him name the dog Boone. He was pleased w/that and I am sure my nephew, who is named Zachary, is eternally greatful that his mom rescued him from that horrible name! See, we prove to our children how much we love them before they even exist by protecting them! Thanks for sharing your dilema... hilarious!

right when i read that name, i instantly thought of the name Scooter like for a dog or something! hahaha then, i thought of cooties... i can just hear the kids say it now... "Cooter has cooties!"

i don't have any kids yet or anything but my fiance and i talk about what to name our son (if we have one) and i personally think that boy names are way harder to think of than girl names. but during our boy name conversation he said, "how about Squirtle?" and i was like, "as in... the pokemon?!?!" and he's like, "(LOL) yeah! and i'll call him Squirt!" i mean, i know he's just kidding around, but he won't verbally say it... oh my goodness he cracks me up... but next to that name he likes the name Ezekiel, but i don't like it.

Yes, my husband did get the name from Dukes of Hazard, he loves that show. No, he hasn't had any surgery lately so I can't blame it on that. Thanks for all the feedback. At least I have validation from others that I'm not crazy.
