Literary Name
By Bobby 2 Months Ago
My wife and I are having a girl and we would like to have a literary name that is not popular like Emma, Emily, Elizabeth, etc.. One of my favorite authors when I was in my early twenties was William Saroyan who wrote The Human Comedy and The Time of your Life. His works were about optimism in times of hardships and I think having a name that repesents those ideals would be a nice legacy. How does the name Saroya (Sa-roy-a) sound?

Saroya is unique. I've never heard it before.

I've never heard of this author before so I looked it up and found this character's last name Macauley. I think that is a cute name for a little girl.

Thanks T. I like Macauley too as a boy's name. Thanks for your input.

I give MacCauley a nod too ... heard it just a few weeks ago.
Pretty sure it can be uni-sex.

You'd do best to find a site with different categories if BH doesn't have a "literary cat."
I've only heard the name Soraya but Saroya sounds almost the same. Quite nice.
