SLeeping problems
By Mom_of2 4 Months, 3 Weeks Ago
My newborn son is waking up at least three to four times at night is there any thing that we can do to limit that. The first two nights he was home he slept fine. He woke up at least once and that was all. We have tried to feed him right before we go to sleep. I have tried to keep him awake for some time during the day and before we go to sleep. Some times he wakes and just wants to be held and it gets very tiring. My husband will get up and get him out of his crib and change him when needed but thats all. He will not feed him at night. I sometimes have a hard time getting to have him feed him during the day. He says that it's my job and that he is too tired to do it. As if I wasn't tired-lol. So are there any tricks that I or we can do?

newborns need to eat every 3 hours or so, and it takes awhile for them to get on a regular schedule. Eventually he will sleep more, and not need to eat as much. The first few months can be rough, but that's just part of having a new baby. Actually 3 times a night isn't too bad. As far as your hubby goes, either put your foot down or just accept that you'll need to sleep when the baby does and let go of things like the housework a little. Wish I could be more help.
