My husband and i both love the name Cady Analeigh but the rest of my family hates it they say it sounds too old fashioned what do you think of the name.

i think it's lovely, if you like it then go for it. if they want to name a baby something different, they should have their own. our son will be named Corbyn/Corbin and my family disapproves, but i've learend to just not care. they wouldnt love him any less if i name him Bootlace, so im not to worried about it.

they told me if i named her Cady Analeigh that they would make a name to call her. My husbands family loves it its in honor of his mom who recently passed away. her name was Catherine Ann Lee. Cady Analeigh do u think thats approrate so she has her own name.

I kinda like it Its your own child if the family dont like it oh well and they have no right to call her something else it your child they need to respect that and call her by her real own name not something different that they want to make up.

I think my family is mad cause we are using his side name first also cady is going to be born on his mothers birthday.They think thats enough they think we are taking in honor of his mother too far by naming my daughter after her. I Love her name. Its not completely naming my daughter after his mom. she has her own name. Cady Analeigh i think is cute and very pretty. I am due in a couple of weeks.

Do what you and DH want, if they want a different name then they can have their own baby. People seriously think they have way to much right to unsolicited opinions when it comes to names. It's your husband's mother and your baby's grandmother, if you want to honor her that's between the 2 of you. Besides just because she's due that day doesn't mean it was planned or that she won't be earlier or later. It is also slightly different so she will have her own identity. I would tell my family to knock it off and get a life. if this is the only thing they have to make drama about then they need a hobby. Also, if they can't call her by her name then they don't need to see her. Sorry, a bit hormonal and over the family B.S. at the moment so I may have ranted a bit....seriously its an adorable name and she's your baby, tell everyone to zip it.
