Thanks for all the suggestions, there are quite a few i like but I'm having trouble because the ones I'm really keen on are the same or similar to friends and relatives children.

I'm leaning towards Sam but I prefer this as a nickname and don't like Samuel. Any suggestions of other names that could be shortened to Sam?

I also like Callum but my eldest son's name is Cameron which I think is just too similar.

Just been reviewing my lists and these are the names I have so far. We're not sure if it's a boy or a girl so I've got lists for both. It's the boys names I'm struggling with the most (mostly because my Hubby doesn't like the names that I like!!)so I'm trying to come up with as many as possible. With our last child I had about 30 names and he didn't like any. We ended up compromising on Jake because he really wanted Jack and I had Jacob on my list.

Sampson is the only name I can think of off the top of my head that you could shorten to Sam.
