Quads + Middle Names + NORMAL?
By allamericangirl 3 Months, 2 Weeks Ago
Hey everyone. This might sound like a bit of a funny question. I had never heard of people doing this before with names and I was wondering what you all thought about it. I'll explain....

So basically my older sister Milly is pregnant for the first time. She found out the other day that she is having quads - all girls. She is quite "free-spirited" and wants all her girls to be "connected" somehow. So...she has decided to use each other their names and their sister's middle name. I hadn't heard of people doing this, but she has her mind set on it. Are women doing that these days or is she just a bit "different" (lol).

This is what she wants to do with the names:
Elizabeth Amelia (her full name)
Annabelle Elizabeth
Zoe Annabelle
Violet Zoe

See what I mean? What do you all think of it?!? Personally, I don't like it.

Hallie

I think it would be unfair to the girls. They shoud have their own names, and not have to share it.

I agree, theres just no individuality to those names. No children should share the same name. Sorry I think its a bad idea.

Quads huh? Wow!!

Elizabeth Amelia
Annabelle Elizabeth
Zoe Annabelle
Violet Zoe

I think she should use her favourite names from these and use totally different for seconds.

Of these (tho' you didn't ask our opinion) I don't like Violet as I have a great-aunt by that name and I don't really like her. A bit of an 'old-lady' name but that's IMO.

I PERSONALLY DON'T LIKE IT. THERE ARE OTHER WAYS TO HAVE BE "CONNECTED" BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE THEIR OWN NAME. SHE COULD HAVE THEM ALL HAVE THE SAME INITIALS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. JUST A THOUGHT

I think it's a little unfair that the last one doesn't have her first name as anyone's middle name.

If she wants them to be connected, she could give them all the same middle name. I think that would be fun for them! Since most people don't even use their middle name in everyday life, they would still be individual with their first name, but feel connected through all having the same middle name.

Example:

Elizabeth Violet
Zoe Violet
Amelia Violet
Annabelle Violet

Another Idea would be to name them all different names that meant the same thing:

Alina, Jacinda, Naava and... Annabelle (!) all mean "beautiful".

Sofie, Nadie, Ramona, and Monique all mean "wise".

Zoe (!), Chaya, Eva, and Olivia all mean "life".
