Now i have a dilema. My mom wants me to continue this middle name tradition in girls. My grandma's middle name was Agnes, then she passed it on to her eldesr daughter, then my grandma wanted my mom to do the same, but my mom didn't really like the name too much. So my middle name is her maiden name. It still keeps the family name going, it's just not agnes.

So what do i do? i don't want to hurt any of their feelings, but i might have to.

so here is my question. Are there any other forms of Agnes that are a little less-outdated? This would help me out a lot - thanks!

I don't even know if my mom cares or not, i haven't asked her yet. But I know that if my grandma was still alive, she would want me to carry on the tradition.

My mom's maiden name and my middle name is O'Reilly (not exactly the best middle name for a little girl). That's why i'm wondering if their are any forms of Agnes that are not, well you know, as old.

I don't think Aggie or Anessa are that bad. They might be possibilities, but some more to choose from would be good.
