Common last name, don't want a common first name
By hopefulmama 2 Months, 3 Weeks Ago
My last name is Jennifer Baker so everywhere I go I hear the same thing are you this Jennifer, this Jennifer, or this Jennifer. I am going to have a girl and I don't want her to feel like she isn't unique. I am thinking about Jamiece Kenya Baker, but would be very appreciative to get some feedback on the name. I am also open to other names I am trying to name her after my father whose name is James but want unique. Please let me know what you think.
Unsure but Hopeful

Sorry, but I think Jamiece looks made-up and trashy. It looks ugly and it's NMS... You're probably better off with Kenya as a first name.

I invented the name Mela for my cat, but it turned out to be a real name anyway. found it somewhere in a baby book later.
A derivative:
James.
Ames.
Amie.

Amie might be too common for you; maybe it could be short for something like Ameli (AH-muh-lee). Have you checked out Celtic names? totally freaky spellings, it's magical.

James.
Ames.
Ameschi. (AH-meh-shee)or (ah-MESH-ee).
Amesmah. (AH-mez-mah)
Mesmah. (MEZ-mah).

What about the name Mar? it's spanish for Ocean. Personally I want to name the next kid Ocean no matter what the gender. If there ever is a next kid.

Sorry, I don't really care for it. I'm not one to come up with unique names. Sorry!

Good luck!
