As you all know im pregnant. Well my friend just found out today that she is pregnant.

And she wants to name the baby Maynard if it's a boy !

That in my opinion is horrible, should i tell her? What are your opinions on the name?

It's not great!!!! I would suggest you find some names she might like and tell them to her, maybe she'll fall in love with a name.

hehe, thats what one of the babies got called on desperate housewives.

My advice to your friend is, think of the school yard.
Because more likely than not, he'll be known as 'nerd' instead of nard.
but if he's at least being named after someone, then i guess at least his mother likes the name eh?

One thing you say is that YOU think it is horible and should you tell her. It is only bad to you, not her. IF she asks you, then be honest, but gentle. If she does not ask your opinion than keep it to yourself. Some people actally like names like that. I personally do not.

please please send her to a site like this one
if she see's some other names which are unusual but lovely, maybe you can get her to change her mind?

but then again, some people are very set.
I still intend to name my son briar, even though it is seen as a female name.

and congrats on your pregnancy!
