Narrowed down, but still need potential boy names
By lolasaurus 2 Months, 1 Week Ago
Hey everyone! I'm due 16 January, and we still don't for sure have names picked out. We also aren't going to find out the sex of the baby, we want it to be a surprise. And hence the need for a boy and girl name. :]
My husband and I have two beautiful children already: Rhiannon Estelle Niamh & Jude Maddox Zakarius, and they're nearly two years old.

I was born and raised in Ireland, and Zxander in Scotland, so traditional names are fine. :] In fact, we think they make excellent middle names.
It's tradition in my family to have two middle names, so if you could include those, that'd be super helpful. If not, we can mash some together. lol,

Right now, we have narrowed it down to two if the baby's a girl. I've been told some aren't sure how to say them, so I'll add the phonetic beside them:
Pippa Saoirse Ember (Pih-pah Seer-shah Ehm-burr)
Panda Suri Fallyn (Pan-duh Ser-ee F-al-in)

For boys, we're sort of in a hodge podge. We can't decide on anything, and therefore are essentially stuck. I'll give you some I like, and some he likes, just for reference. If you can think of combinations that work, cool. If not, anything you'd suggest we want to hear!

No Twilight references intended. We just noticed that there were some in there this afternoon. lol And most of the names we've personally picked out either mean something to one of us, or are unique and sound lovely. We're up for more common alternatives, though. :]

I like:
Cullen
Lachlan (as a middle name)
Ewan
Rowan
Ryland
Nevin

Zxander likes:
Embry/Ember
Edward
Cahir
Cuilean (This one's growing on me... but don't tell him! xP)
Mathias
Cedric
Davein (More commonly spelled Davyn, but 'y' is rather feminine)
Keelein
Ziven
Calais

So yeah, that's what we've got.
What have you got? ^^

If this helps, the baby's last name will be Rooney.

Wow, that's a long post. Sorry.

I meant to add that if you could vote on a girl's name, or even suggest a few alternatives, I'd love that. :]

I like Pippa very much. It is a little '40's, but new sounding at the same time. I don't care too much for the middle names you have with it though.

Have you considered Nevin for a boy?

@ Kathleen
First of all, thanks for your input, it's much appreciated. :]
And second, do you have any alternate middle names you'd like were it you? Just curious.

We hadn't considered Nevin for a boy, though I do like it. My dad's name is Kevin, and we'd considered at the time we had the twins to name Rhiannon after him with the female version, Kevia. But Nevin may be an appropriate namesake as well. -adds to the list-

Pippa Saoirse Ember - I like Saoirse and Pippa is OK (do you realize that it is a frog?) but I don't like Ember but that's just me
Panda Suri Fallyn - Panda is kinda cute. I like this name on Kimiya Dawson's daughter Panda Delilah, cause it really suits the child. I like Fallyn spelled Fallon and it's a great name. I don't like Suri.
Cullen - I like it
Lachlan - I've always loved it and always will. Great name!
Ewan - I like it
Rowan - I like it
Ryland - OK
Nevin - I really like it
Embry/Ember - I don't like it
Edward - I really like it
Cahir - I don't care
Cuilean - OK
Mathias - I love it
Cedric - I liek it
Davein - I don't care
Keelein - don't like it
Ziven - I don't like it
Calais - OK
What about:
Calum
Iain
Seamus
Cavan
Dermot
Angus
Egan
Finlay
Boyd
Clancy
Murray
Kieran
Keenan
Darby
Duncan
Lennox
Logan
Ronan
Sullivan
Good luck!
