Maybe some people get too used to mobile texting. I do the shorten wording sometimes when I text messages, it just saves time. But since I am not a native speaker of English, I have some trouble using slang or shorten words.

But I think the majority of people here are pretty well-educated and English literate. And yeah, I learn too when I communicate with people here, because I get to encounter many new words or new phrases.

I understand if you're in a hurry, and if you aren't from the same country as others, but I still think that if you have the education, you need to use it.

it's probably because this is an informal site asking informal questions and maybe i am just lazy i do enough formal typing all day long and as long as its legible i dont care

My only excuse is i'm being lazy. After writing patients notes at work with all the medical jargon & legality of it i do tend to turn into a lazy bum when i get home. I'll try a bit harder ladies!
