Did you ever do this?
By XPhoebe LorenX 3 Years, 3 Months Ago
(This is more of a quetion to people with more than one child or are expecting more but anyone's welcome to answer. )

With names have you ever kept the same name if you didn't use it? For example i'm not very good with boys names and only have a few i like but i have a fave name, so say i had that name in mind for my 1st child but had a girl, then got pregnant, is it strange to keep the same boys name that you thought of the 1st time? Or has anyone ever one this?

Sorry if i confused you! It's only really because my names are sort of limited but i want a lot of kids.

Definitely, this is not weird to do that. I have created the name Genevra back in 1980 when I was pregnant with my first child. I needed a G girls name, couldn't find one, and created Genevra for my daughter - however, I gave birth to 3 boys, and the same girls name was on my list, for all three pregnancies. It was not to be, that I could use the name Genevra. Yes, I wanted the same one for a girl, all 3 times, never used it, and still love it. If you really love the name, keep it secret, and then use it whenever the time is right. See, I use Genevra now, as my username, because I still love it, and the time is right for me to use it here.

Well I'm only pregnant with my first, but I have a boy and a girls name picked out, even though this one is going to be a girl. I still plan on using the boys name for my next one, if its a boy, if not then I will probably pick one of the girl names off my list from this pregnancy. I think if you really love a name then there's no reason you can't use it for the next pregnancy, its not like having named a baby and then losing it to sids or something and using the same name on a different baby, because that would be wrong to me. But I think in this case, since it wasn't your child's actual name, there's no harm in using it later.
