My DH's sister is having a little boy in May. They have informed everyone that the name will be William Jaxon Bruce but they want to call him Jack. This makes no sense to me. First of all why don't they just name the baby Jackson William Bruce or Jackson Bruce William then? The next thing is why don't they spell it Jackson instead of Jaxson if they want to call him Jack. To me Jax is short for Jaxson, which I think is very cool. I just think the kid is going to grow up super confused and he'll have to go around explaining his name all the time and he'll have 3 or four different names depending on if its work or home or wherever. Just seems like a lot to hang on a kid. I won't say anything to them because it isn't my baby or my business. I was just wondering if anyone else had done this or had this done to them? Any opinions?

Well no not really my friends call me Kit Kat or Kat but that is close to my name

wow slight over reaction there. I commented at the end that I would never say anything to them since its not my baby or really my business. I was just wondering what other people's view points might be on this. Oh and I actually have 4 children and I did name them what I wanted.I'll chalk it up to pregnancy hormones. Oh and no you're not pardoned.

well i think its none of anyone's business wat others call there kids im having the same problem with ppl not liking the names ive picked and its rather frustrating being told what i should and shouldn't call my kids.
i get called lots of things by my friends but mt mother only uses my full name and i have friends who have done this same thing and its not that confusing if you tell them kids are not stupid
