What are ppl's views on Beauty pageants? like dressing your child up to look like a 2 year old prostitute. personally i think its wrong its just telling our kids to grow up fast and for pervs to look at our kids as adults why don't we just put them in thongs and padded bras as well. its ridiculous.

the reason i brought it up i was on gaga and woman where getting pic of their lil girls only 2 weeks old and photo shopping them with makeup and wigs and they where telling each other it needs to be blonder use res lipstick and then one said something about puting girls clothes on her son and putting make up on himomg i nearly died

I agree, I do not approve of beauty pagents period, but especially for little girls. They do not have to be taught at that young of an age that beauty is that important.

I was watching the Tyra Banks Show awhile back, and it was about child beauty pagent and they had a few of the little girls on there. Trya asked a little girl if she would rather be pretty or smart. The girl answered pretty!!!!!! So sad...

Children aren't dolls!

Kids should be encouraged to go and get dirty and have fun.
We're trying to make children grow up way to fast and that kinda scares me a bit to be honest.
I don't want my child asking to wear make up at 5 or a bra at 7.
They should be making mud pies and jumping on a trampoline not getting manicures and fake eyelashes!

Im glad im not the only one that thinks it lol my kids will not be wearing make up and bras at 5 thy'e be ouside in the mud and playing on swings and ill be out there with them lol

EmilyAudrey- well thats what some look like with photos ive seen they look just like prostitutes with bright red lippy and bright colored eye shadow lol

i dont mind the one make up ones where they just put on nice clothes and they stand their if they are cute they win they are ok i guess

I use to be in beauty pagents when i was little! I did them from 2-6....

I put my kids in beauty contest. But I dont put makeup on them. They can be in beauty pageants without makeup. My kids do it because they have a great fun time. They know it's not all about beauty. That they are our queens and king. No matter what. Thats your own thought about beauty pageants. Dont knock everyone else down. My son has wore a tux in three and has won king in all three. I did it when I was younger. Everyone that likes putting their kids in pageants have fun and tell them they are your queen and king. To have fun
