...What Braxton Hicks usually feel like? and if you can get them this early on?
I'm 23 weeks tomorrow (it's gone pretty fast considering.
But for the past couple of days I've been getting really weird pains and she's been kicking a bit less =/
My tummy keeps getting really big and sore. Not the normal growing, I'm pretty big, but randomly it'll be bigger n then go smaller then a few hours later bigger again. Sorry if it's too much info but I also keep getting weird feelings "down there" not so much a pain just uncomfy. Plus my back is constantly in agony, my ribs hurt all the time (usually on the right) and she kicks EXTREMELY low down.
I know I've been blessed and I'm not complaining about the "normal" things. But I'm unsure what the "normal" things are lol. Just a bit worried about her lack of activity the last two days (she still kicks from time to time but not nearly as much as she has been the past couple of weeks), wondering if it is Braxton Hicks and if it's anything to worry about? I don't want to call the midwife unecassarily when I can barely explain it too myself lol.
eurgh I feel so Naive. If you could give me any ideas on what it is or what to do I'd be extremely greatful.

I would call the doctor, that is what they are there for. I did with my first pregnancy. When I started getting really sharp pains in my stomach I thought it was because I picked up a 20lb bag of cat litter and did something to hurt myself, but the said it was just me ligements stretching; and they told me to stop picking up 20lb bags of cat little. I called when ever there was something happening that I didn't understand.

Give them a call.

If you're worried about being a bother, DON'T BE!! Doctors are there to help! I am just as paranoid as you are. I asked for a name opinion and somehow people started talking about the right intervals to have kids. I am 31 and they suggested not to have another kid within the time span of 2 years, but that it is dangerous to get pregnant after your are over 35 years old. Plus, I want like 3 or 4 kids... URGH!!!! I feel just as naive as you because this is my first pregnancy.

its never unecessary, even tho u may not know whats going on,they might... its what they r there for..

and as 4 BH, its a tightening feeling all across ur tummy, not painfull,just ur tummy getting hard, for a minute or so, then it should go away,
what ur describing doesnt sound like BH..
i would get a medical opinion..
even if its just to set ur mind at ease..

thankyou so much for all your replies. It's been a crappy night. called John to go the hospital but thanks to my mood swings ended up in a 2 n a half hour argument hmph lol. The little ones had me scared all night cos she stopped kicking but thankfully she's back with a vengeance. I love it. It's quarter to 2 in the morning n I can't sleep cos I love feeling her move. I'm gonna try my hardest not to complain about the aches n pains anymore cos I wouldn't have it any other way so long as she's safe and happy in there.
Gonnna take your advice though ladies, n call my midwife tomorrow. It aint worth stressing out so much when i can find out easily and tonights been such a wake up call.
