By Aunt T 9 Months, 1 Week Ago I really want a baby and my husband says he does too but is really nervous about it. We haven't had any luck on our own so far even though I had been put on Metformin for ovulation with no success (and some side effects). I was told by my family physician that Clomid would more than likely be the next step for me. My husband doesn't really want me to take fertility pills because he's afraid we'll have multiple babies. He knows I haven't been able to get pregnant on my own and more than likely my doctor will suggest Clomid but he doesn't really want me to take it. I don't know what to do. If Clomid is our only chance of having a baby, I think if he really wants one he would agree to it. Any advice?

Re:What do you do in this situation? By Emily_G 9 Months, 1 Week Ago I actually don't believe in fertility drugs or treatment (most anyways). And I think it's not really fair to say that if hubby wants a family, he would automatically agree to it. I really want to have a baby, but if I can't get pregnant, fertility drugs won't be an option.

Re:What do you do in this situation? By Emily_G 9 Months, 1 Week Ago I'm not sure what I would say to him....except that he has to make a choice. That's a hard one...GL.

Re:What do you do in this situation? By I love my justin 9 Months, 1 Week Ago First off do the research on it and if thats your only option then hey remember God has a plan and if its HIS plan for you to have multiples then so be it and im sure your hubby will love them just as he would with just one. And by the way im all for fertility treatments. Hey if women have the right to abort there children just cus they dont want them then the women who desperatly want one of her very own have the right to try to have one.

Re:What do you do in this situation? By Jordan S 9 Months Ago I completely agree with I love my justin
She is right GOD'S plan for you will happen when u r ready for it too take place in your life. The same with fertility treatment, yes there are side effects, but there are side effects to abortions too and for some ungodly reason that I'm still trying to figure out people think it is more than okay for abortions than fertility treatment...Those *&^$#@ should give their kids they dont want to ppl who are dying to have one!!! I could go all day on that anyways.. Are you sure it's not your husband who has the fertility problem??
